Iyer Just 25 Runs Away From Rohit's T20I Captain Record

India captain Shreyas Iyer needs just 25 more runs to break Rohit Sharma's record for most T20I runs by an Indian captain in a calendar year.

Iyer has scored 632 runs in 22 T20Is as captain in 2026, while Rohit's mark of 656 came across 29 matches in 2022.

A good knock in today's second T20I against New Zealand at Hagley Oval could put Iyer on top of the list.
